Mandy and Gordon

Mandy and Gordon had one of the sunniest days all year Glen Clova Hotel & Luxury Lodges. From the getting ready shots with the bride and bridesmaids in the Old Mill Lodge which was and absalute blast to the dancing at night it was such a fairytale wedding. The hotel itself is so picturesque with the scottish hills and riversits a wedding photographers dream. They both wanted a nice relaxed feel to their big day which we much prefer and it shows in the photos that everyone are enjoying themselves. Mandy and the girls had a little drink of fizz once their makeup and hair was all finished so they can have a bit of chill time before heading to Clova Kirk which is a lovely wee quaint church just walking distance from the hotel. The whole day went perfect with the weather being the best we have had all year we took the bridal party for a few captires before taking a couple of family photographs. Mandy’s father gave a wonderful speech along with Gordon and the bestman. The night finished off with everyone dancing the night away.

Troy

Pet photography is a passion I have and to capture pets in the more natural setting is best of all. To see their characters in the shots we take is so rewarding for us and their owners. Troy this stunning Golden Labrador was full of beans and just loved running up the hills in lochs and generally being a proper dog. Nothing is too staged when location photogtraphy is being shots when out and about although we do have an indoor studio for the more quieter pooches.

Chris, Mala and Troy

Chris , Mala and Troy and of course the wee bump. The patter of baby feet is an imminent addition to the family. So why not have a family photograph of just the three of them before the big event. Chris wanted location photography as he knew Troy their beautiful Labrador dog would be on his best behaviour out and about in the countryside which we have in abundance by us. I take my hat off to Mala she managed to walk a through heather and and mud to get to a lovely spot they both liked even though she has only two weeks to go. Altough we dont do newborn photography we would still love to see the wee one in the future when he is a bit older then there will be four in the family. We would like to wish them all the best for the future.

Atholl Palace, Pitlochry

Atholl Palace Hotel & Lodges Pitlochry what a lovely place for your big day. Just exhibited at the Wedding Fayre and there was lots of interest the in our albums etc where we can show the venue off to its best. The palace has it all the landscape with the stunning scottish hills and the gardens alone are beautiful with the water fountain at the bottom of the grounds with the building behind.  As a wedding photographer this is just a dream whether the weather isnt so good you still have lots of choice inside the hotel. A lot of our brides and grooms like to make sure they have as much of the place in their photographs as this is the memories they will have forever. Emma and Kenny whose special day was just recent said they wouldnt change a thing even though it rained this is what made their shots more interesting we even used one of our smoke effects in one to make it more atmospheric. On a sunny day you get different captures as there is probably more scope to be able to wander round a bit more with the bridal party.

Leo

This is why I love pet photography  I get to meet some stunning dogs like beautiful Leo the Flat Coat Retriever. Thoroughly enjoyed being with this pooch although my face and ears were licked by him so many times I really didnt mind at all. A lot of my customers always comment on how much they can tell how much I love dogs whcih is so true they give so much love to their owners. I am so lucky that we have some stunning coutryside by us and spoilt for choice I call it my own outdoor studio. Pet photography is my second love with weddings being the first they both are a happy affair with lots of happy faces on the day.

Dundee Evening Telegraph

They say getting married is joining two families together — and that couldn’t be more true for the new Mr and Mrs Kendall.

Emma, 35, and Kenny, 37, both from Forfar, first met when they started working at the same dental surgery in 2010 but it took three years before their first date.

Kenny said it only happened due to Emma “being pushy” — and she didn’t deny the claim!

Kenny popped the question in front of the couple’s families during dinner at their home on Christmas Day 2016.

Emma said: “It was so emotional — it meant so much that all of our family was there.

“Kenny proposed using his gran’s wedding ring which fitted perfectly.

“She died the year before so it was all very emotional.”

The wedding itself was held at Atholl Palace Hotel & Lodges Pitlochry.

Emma’s son Hamish, 9, had previously picked the date unaware of how perfect it was.

Kenny said: “Before Hamish chose the date, we had picked a theme of SuperMario because we both love the game.

“When we were making the invitations we realised the date read Mar10. It was a perfect coincidence.”

Emma also has a younger son Innes, 6, and after she and Kenny tied the knot, the bride produced a statutory declaration giving the whole family the same surname.

She added: “Kenny has been in their lives from a very young age and they both call him dad.

“It was very emotional when I was giving my speech. There was not a dry eye in the place.”The bride and groom would like to thank Kenny’s brother Iain who was best man, bridesmaids Jamie Craig-Gentles, Pam Watt-Stewart, Stacey Hendry, Jackie Swankie and Niki Kendall-Wilson and their ushers, as well as Downfield Studio photographer Sandra Ewing and cake maker Kokoro Cakes.

Pre-wedding photoshoot

Just a few weeks to go for Bruce and Jenni’s big day, always nice to have a wee pre-wedding photoshoot with them and their two dogs. This gives our couples a chance to get to know us and get used to our camera before their wedding day. The photographs are so important on your big day as this is the only memories you have of the families and friends all getting together in the same place at the same time. A nice relaxed feel to the photography is what most of our couples prefer in nice but casual outfits whether it be near your home or favourite place that means something to you eg a spot where you both got engaged. A lot of our brides and grooms to be might already have a pet which they like to get invloved in their shots which we love to do as we are very much animal people it could be dogs, cats or horses.

Pet Photography

Capturing your pets in action is so rewarding you can get the best out of them on location whether it be up in the Scottish Hills or beach dogs just love being active. They also feel more at ease when the owners are with us when we take the photographs as they know the best treat or favourite toy that might grab their attention although we do have some tricks of the trade too. Being a pet photographer this gives me the chance to meet some lovely pets and being a dog owners ourselves we can comunicate a bit better with the animals.

We would like to wish them both all the very best for the future. But we can say it was a brilliant day full of fun just the way they wanted it to be.
